Description

Very few insurance brokers have embraced Business Continuity Planning (BCP) with the same level of commitment as this forward-thinking corporate broking house.

Rather than seeing this service as somewhat of an 'after thought' and relying on outsourced support, it has developed an inhouse consultancy that is the envy of many competing brokers.

Whilst this is a hugely successful global insurance broking concern, the Divisional Director says, "We are deliberately different to our peers.

Whilst we are a 'corporate', we operate very much as an independent business, which our employees really value. Moreover, we have a huge amount of highly interesting clients, which will keep a BCP specialist very busy."

Working in conjunction with the branch network throughout the South West and lower South Midlands, you will provide a holistic Business Continuity consultancy service across a diverse range of industry sectors including Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, Retail, Haulage, Real Estate, Property Owners, Motor Trade and Haulage.

Duties will include interviewing business owners / key stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of their business activities and exposures to risk, and conducting detailed Business Impact Analysis.

You'll ensure that Resilience is at the forefront of your recommendations and develop and maintain Functional Continuity Plans.
You must have an extensive background in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) or Disaster Recovery, encompassing detailed BC audits. Ideally, you will have consultancy experience, or knowledge of a variety of industry sectors.

As expected, you'll have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, an eye for detail, the ability to challenge the 'status quo', and well-honed report-writing skills.

Whilst you will be collaborating with key broking staff across the South West / South Midlands region, this is a home-based position, where you will be granted a great deal of autonomy in regards to managing your own diary.

In return, you will benefit from a competitive basic salary of up to circa £55K plus £5K car allowance, bonus, a market-leading 'flexible' benefits package and support towards professional qualifications.

In this position, you will only be limited by your own ambition, and this opportunity could really boost your profile within this close-knit industry.
