Warehouse & Projects Manager

North London - commutable from Walthamstow, Hackney, Tottenham, Edmonton, Cheshunt, Loughton

Package:
Dependent on experience and skills, c£45,000

Monday to Friday - 10:00 - 19:00 (flexibility required)


Are you an experienced Warehouse Manager looking for an opportunity to join a successful, innovative, fast-growing business with ambitious future plans? Have you successfully managed system and process-based projects within a warehouse environment? If so,this is an excellent opportunity for you to join a dynamic business going through a sustained period of change and development.


In this newly created role, you'll manage all site functions across a busy, fast-paced warehouse and distribution operation, proactively leading a small team to deliver excellent service to its large customer base.


A key aspect of this role will be the management of a project to deliver full automation of warehouse operations via a WMS.

Using your previous experience and strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, you'll work closely with the Head of Operationsto deliver this critical project, from scoping through to delivery.


What You'll Bring:


  • Previous experience of delivering IT (WMS) implementations
  • Proven people management skills able to motivate, engage and lead a team confidently and effectively
  • Previous experience of managing fastpaced warehouse operations (FMCG, retail, food, drinks) ideally from a 3PL environment
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operational best practice
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice for warehouse operations.
  • Good knowledge and experience of stock control processes
  • Financial understanding/cost management experience
  • Collaborative working style, able to work crossfunctionally across the business
  • A really positive, cando approach; able to work both strategically and in a handson way to support your team and the operation in a growing business
  • A current FLT license is desirable but not essential (flexi/counter balance)
