Description

Spurgeons is one of the UK's leading children's charities, firmly supported by Christian beliefs and values, helping to support disadvantaged children and their families through delivering projects to support children, young people, their families and communities to find long-lasting solutions to the challenges they face.

We are passionate about the work we do and need equally committed members on our team to help us achieve those goals.

We are looking to recruit a skilled communicator to assist our community engagement volunteer co-ordinators to promote and develop strong local partnerships across Wiltshire, particularly with grass roots organisations delivering services to families and their children, local primary schools and childcare settings.

The aim is to develop a self-sustained community model within the children centre's reach areas. This role is based in the east of the county.

Ideally you will have:

a proven track record of engaging with other voluntary organisations, experience of working in a multi-agency approach, experience of undertaking consultation and co-production with service users in order to improve and develop services.

You will have a sound knowledge of the children and families voluntary sector in Wiltshire, and be keen to play a key role in ensuring that Spurgeons delivery fits as part of the multi-agency approach which exists in Wiltshire.

Access to a car for work purposes is essential as this will involve travel across the quadrant in which you are based, and with occasional travel to the other two quadrants in Wiltshire.

Spurgeons is a Living Wage Employer.
