The Tahir Group has been in existence since 1979 when the first KFC was acquired in North East London.

Since then, the group have grown considerably to over 46 sites across multiple brands from KFC, Starbucks and German Doner Kebab.

The Group is also a Residentialand Commercial Landlord and Developer.


There are now exciting plans to add further brands into the portfolio in 2023 as well as expansion into our existing brands.

We are growing our team and currently looking for a Group Operations Managerwho will be leading the operational strategy across multiplesites throughout the UK.

We are recruiting our future key leader and to grow together for future success.


The Operations Manager will need to deliver the KPIs around Sales, Profit, Growth Strategy, Budgets and People and plays a key role in achieving Customer Satisfaction and overall performance for restaurants.


The Operations Manager is the face of the Tahir Group Brand and will need to be comfortable dealing with KFC Equity stakeholders, exuding a professional and supportive attitude.


The Role:

  • Conducts Weekly and Period Business reviews with all Direct Reports
  • Ensures Success Routines are followed and adhered to by Area Coaches and Restaurant General Managers
  • Conducts regular Coaching visits to the restaurants with Area Coaches.
  • Periodic Performance Meetings
  • Half Yearly Stewardship meetings with Directors
  • Assume additional responsibility for Projects and Project teams.
  • Reviewing PEST reports and implementing recommendations and react immediately to Pest and EHO issues and or recommendations.
  • Reviewing Weekly Financial and Customer metrics with Area Coaches and reporting to Line Managers
  • Responsible for New Store Openings
  • Managing Restaurant refurbishments with Area Coaches led by Construction Team
  • Conducting structured and tailored visits that resonate with the standard to Area Coaches and RGM's to ensure brand standards, Customer Satisfaction, development and profitability are adhered to and excelled.
  • Collating feedback from Guest and Delivery aggregator dashboards to understand and put in place actions to mitigate customer dissatisfaction.
  • Coaches and models team involvement in problemsolving to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements that drive customer satisfaction and profitability in conjunction with the Operations Director.
  • Responsible for overseeing quality training for restaurant management.
  • Ensures quality performance appraisal, Individual Development Planning (IDP) and People Plan Review (PPR) process, emphasising the implementation of valueadded developmental activities.
  • Comfortable managing between 48 Area Managers as Direct Reports.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience in a previous Operational Manager role
  • Strong track record in Operations Management in Food Retail is essential
  • Experience in structured Operations processes in food.
  • Strong experience of leadership & coaching skills in a similar role/environment and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Previous experience in managing food hygiene and brand standards including audits/external bodies.
  • Previous experience of being involved and understanding Health and Safety.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified and/or have equivalent work experience.
  • Leadership and Management courses are advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong commercial skills & business acumen.
  • CAN DO Attitude.
  • Working to the needs of the business requiring flexibility of evenings and weekends in the Business.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in employee selection, coaching, and development.
  • Comfort with a "handson" approach to management, and close working with a busy team.
  • Passionate, motivated and not afraid of a challenge.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Team player and able to work alone.
