Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN):

Are you a dedicated and passionate Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) looking for temporary work opportunities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Join our team at Lynfield Mount Hospital, located in the beautiful surroundings of Daisy Hill, Bradford, West Yorkshire.


As a Band 5 RMN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality and compassionate care to our service users.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for patients with complex mental health needs.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals, support workers, and family members to ensure the holistic well-being of our service users.

Your duties as a Band 5 RMN will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and risk assessments to determine suitable care plans for service users.
  • Administering prescribed medications and monitoring their effectiveness and any side effects.
  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a personcentered approach that promotes recovery and selfmanagement.
  • Assisting service users with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and eating.
  • Supporting service users in their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community, providing guidance and education on coping strategies and social skills.
  • Maintaining accurate and uptodate documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.

This temporary position is available from 26/02/2024 to 26/02/2024, with a shift start time of 07:30:00 and a shift end time of 20:00:00.

You will be compensated with a payment rate of £262.50 per shift, paid under an umbrella payment type.

To be considered for this role, you must be a registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC pin.

Previous experience working in a mental health setting is desirable, but newly qualified nurses with a genuine interest in mental health nursing are also encouraged to apply.
