About Us

About the role
Ocado's automated warehouses are largely controlled by our DASH control system. It's an enormously complex and valuable piece of software that's at the heart of our commercial offering.

Closely linked to DASH we also have a department that develops and maintains simulation capability of DASH as well some of the algorithms in DASH.

Together these clusters allow us to develop high quality production software.

In this role, you will lead a group of Product Managers within the DASH and Simulation product areas. You will work with the engineering teams and relevant stream stakeholders to define, realise and deliver great automation products.

As Group Product Manager, you will partner directly with two Engineering Managers sharing accountability for key decisions, achieving commitments to the delivery plan and providing constructive challenges to focus effort on the missions that are important for Ocado Technology.


About you

We'd love to hear from you if you have/are...

  • Previous experience building high performing product teams working alongside engineering to execute and deliver a vision successfully
  • Ability to lead and manage others effectively, coaching and giving feedback to support development
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including product management, engineering, UX/UI, human factors, or regulatory compliance
  • Datadriven in decision making
  • Comfortable sorting out ambiguity and bring structure and clarity of purpose to a conversation
  • The ability to proactively solve problems, helping to make decisions and build recommendations by interpreting data and insight from multiple sources
  • Communicate directly and clearly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on careful listening
  • A strong technical skills and an analytical mind set
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written

It would be great but it's not essential if you have...

  • Other relevant domain experience with control systems, algorithm development and/or simulation
