Production Planner

Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting:

Collaborate with sales and other relevant departments to gather and analyse demand forecasts.
Utilize historical data, market trends, and other factors to develop accurate demand projections.
Production Scheduling:
Create and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands while maximizing operational efficiency.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure the availability of resources, including raw materials, equipment, and labour.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and work towards maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or excess.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize carrying costs and ensure product availability.

Communication and Collaboration:

Liaise with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to facilitate smooth production processes.
Communicate production schedules and changes effectively to all relevant stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Implement best practices in production planning and contribute to overall operational excellence.

Risk Management:

Proactively identify potential risks in the production process and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
Monitor external factors that may impact production, such as supplier issues or changes in market demand.
Monitor actual production activity to plan & report variance.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation related to production schedules, inventory levels, and other relevant data.
Generate reports to analyse key performance indicators and provide insights for decisionmaking.
