We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Adviser within Charities Aid Foundation's Impact Accelerator.

You will be an integral part of our team of experts providing high-value, bespoke advice and consultancy to individuals, corporates, and charities.

What you'll do


At CAF, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our Adviser you too will play an integral part in what we do.


The main purpose of your role will be to deliver and develop high-value consultancy work with CAF's private clients, corporate, public sector and charity clients.

Play a role in further building CAF's Advisory proposition within CAF's wider Impact Accelerator offering which brings together expertise in advisory, grantmaking and social investment.


As our Adviser you will:

  • Delivering CAF's strategic consultancy work with private clients, corporates, the public sector and charities and provide support to senior advisers as and when needed
  • Work confidently with a range of philanthropists, corporate clients, and charity leaders at all levels of seniority delivering concrete advice to assist in the development of their impact/giving strategies and implementation, impact frameworks and evaluation, fundraising strategies, governance, etc
  • Daytoday project management and excellent client service
  • Delivery of highquality assignments to clients
  • Coordinate the production of quality proposals in response to business leads.
  • Assisting the Advisory business development strategy and pipeline and drive growth.
  • Responsible for retention and growth of CAF's advisory clients through effective client management
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Impact Accelerator and across CAF to maximise learnings, as well as identifying opportunities and synergies

Who you'll be


This role is for you if you have relevant experience as an Adviser or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society.


We are looking for and Adviser that has:

  • Experience advising foundations, individual philanthropists, charities, corporates and/or the public sector
  • Experience of advising clients on philanthropy, grantmaking, sustainability, fundraising, strategy, research, governance, impact measurement and evaluation, programmatic design and/or practice
  • Experience in analysing complex systems and producing workable strategies and proposals, presentations, research, recommendations etc
  • Ability to build and consolidate strong relationships with current and potential clients
  • Ability to facilitate and drive workshops and discussions with very clear outputs and outcomes
  • Expertise in key cause areas, particularly areas that are traditionally underfunded and ability to upskill themselves in new areas based on opportunities and needs
  • Strong analytical, forwardthinking, and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, confident presenter, persuasive speaker and comfortable in engaging people of all levels of seniority
  • Change management skills for influencing, negotiating and facilitating particularly in complex or difficult situations
