Bromley & Croydon Women's Aid is seeking to recruit an
Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to provide a high-quality proactive service and support to victims of domestic & sexual violence and abuse in Bromley.

The IDVA will address safety of the client and their children, assessing the client's needs and risk level.

You will discuss options with clients and deliver a range of interventions as well as develop safety plans, and support clients through civil or criminal courts.

You will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic & sexual abuse.

You should be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

The person we are looking for will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, providing high quality tailored advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment.


The post will require co-location at MASH team in Bromley Civic Centre, with access to hot-desking at our offices as needed.

Flexible working is encouraged at BCWA, with a mix of home and location-based working across our friendly and supportive team.

As a trauma-informed charity we take mental health and wellbeing seriously.

We offer clinical supervision to our frontline team, monthly staff wellbeing sessions, use of our Employee Assistance Programme and an additional wellbeing platform which offers a range of advice and support.

Hours:
Full time 35 hours/week


Salary:
£30,250 - £31,350 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
