Description

The Residences and Sports Division based within the Directorate for the Student Experience wish to appoint a Senior Domestic Coordinator to support the delivery of Domestic and Facilities services to students and guests living in our University owned and managed halls of residence.

The post holder will form part of the Domestic and Facilities senior management team and will be expected to ensure that our systems, facilities and service standards meet the needs of our customers.

You will have responsibility for a team of managers, supervisors and domestic staff, and will be expected to provide effective and efficient leadership that champions a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, consistency and innovation and that supports staff development equality, diversity and inclusion.

The postholder will have experience of leading service provision preferably within the hospitality industry or service sector of similar size and complexity.

You will need excellent organisation and planning skills, plus previous strategic planning and/ or project management experience, and have a strong understanding of health and safety in relation to the provision of domestic services or facilities management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as you will be expected to work with a large number of stakeholders in the internal and external environment.

You will be self-motivated and committed to further professional development and be prepared to support other activities within Professional Services as required.
