An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated and passionate person to work across the Radiotherapy Services within Wessex on Workforce Transformation.

The post holder will play a pivotal role leading radiographer workforce transformation across three pillars of work. Advising and embedding a standardised 4 tier structure from Assistants to Consultant Radiographers.


Analysis and development of recruitment and retention strategies across the Wessex Cancer Alliance to ensure that future workforce pipelines are established by leading and advising on the workforce elements of career enhancement and development.

Support and advise on national and international recruitment plans.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES


The Workforce Transformation Lead is responsible for providing professional workforce planning insight, advice, support and expertise to the Radiotherapy Services within the Wessex Cancer Alliance of University Hospital Southampton, Portsmouth Hospitals and University Hospitals Dorset.

The post is hosted by University Hospitals Southampton, with a flexible work base to meet the needs of delivering across all three hospital sites.


In partnership with the 3 Radiotherapy Services drive the implementation of a 4 tier structure, support recruitment both nationally as well as internationally, and retention of the Therapeutic Radiographer workforce.

Relationships across the three trusts management teams, as well as key stakeholders externally will be fundamental to modernisation of the workforce, identifying new ways of working, role redesign and development and improving service delivery across the Wessex network.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU'LL DO


The post holder will need to be a highly collaborative, working across multiple hospital trusts, education providers, professional bodies and partner organisations.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong influential relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple partner organisations is essential.


The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of 3 key pillars of work across the Wessex Radiotherapy Network.


  • Advising and embedding a standardised 4 tier structure from Assistants to Consultant Radiographers.
  • Analysis and development of recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Support and advise on national and international recruitment plans.
