The Blandford School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Deputy Head of English to join our thriving and supportive school and work alongside our recently promoted Head of English.
The successful applicant will be able to drive change in a forward thinking and outward looking faculty where student achievement and progress is above the national average.
They will have the opportunity to teach Lower Years and GCSE classes, with the possibility of A Level teaching as well.
Working alongside the Head of Faculty, the successful applicant will help shape the future direction of the faculty including curriculum, staffing and assessment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- An English related degree.
- High standards and evidence to good student outcomes.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- The ability to teach English to at least Key Stage
- A passion for English and a commitment to embedding a lifelong love of learning to our students
- A high expectation for students of all abilities
- Forward thinking disposition, creative, receptive to change and able to work within and contribute to the continual development of the team.
- A detailed knowledge of the curriculum and its means of delivery.

- The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. T_he salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year._
