Daily Legal Cashiering Responsibilities:_

Processing incoming and outgoing client account payments for timecritical completions
Input and payment of purchase invoices and raising of fee and disbursement invoices
Regular review of client ledger balances and assisting fee earners with returning/requesting funds, where required

Monthly Reporting/Management Accounts Responsibilities:_

Production of monthly management accounts, to include P&L, balance sheet and trial balance
Creation of and monitoring annual projections, cash flow and financial relationships for the firm and overseeing and monitoring feeearner performance
Preparation and payment of quarterly dividends and quarterly VAT return submission
Managing monthly accruals and prepayments and managing supplier relationships

The ideal Finance Manager would:_

Be studying for, or has gained an accountancy qualification, AAT or CIMA equivalent
Be knowledgeable on the SRA rules, understanding the importance of the implementation of the seven principles
Be able to collect, analyse and draw conclusions from data, with strong organisational and time management skills
Have excellent communication (both written and verbal) and relationshipbuilding skills
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages
Preferably have experience as a Legal Cashier or a Finance Manager
