**Associate Director of Estates & Facilities wanted for an immediate start

Location:
Cambridgeshire

Length: 12 months fixed-term contract

Salary:
£79,500 - £91,700

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon - Fri

Main responsibilities of the role_
To be accountable to for all professional aspects of the engineering services, taking responsibility for the design, safety, quality, technical suitability and statutory compliance with relevant government directives
Provide and promote effective professional leadership to ensure the delivery of cost effective, customer orientated services to the organisation in accordance with the established service level agreements
Ensure effective communication is maintained within the Estates, Capital and Facilities Teams and between other relevant staff groups and external agencies in delivering capital schemes and projects
Take responsibility for leading the organisation's building, engineering & maintenance departments, building an effective organisational structure that is agile and modern
Develop investment priorities based on operational engineering, legislative risks and risks relating to reliability and business continuity
Procure complex engineering & service contracts, detailing and approving specifications, lead procurement processes and implementing service contracts
Take responsibility and accountability for strategy and policy development related to engineering services including the implementation of legislative requirements and risk management arrangements
To contribute to the review of the organisation's Estate Strategy
Provide lead engineering input into PFI building's ensuring the contractor performs in line with the requirements of the contract
Essential requirements_
Masters level qualification or equivalent training and experience within Estates management
Significant experience operating at head of service level
