Purpose:
As one of the largest football clubs in the world, we continue to innovate in terms of how we engage and connect with our global fanbase.
Within the Brand & Club Marketing team, we are looking for a Copywriter to help us drive new and exciting campaigns for the club and our partners.
The Role:
Our brand is all-important, and all-encompassing.
It represents why we exist, how we do things and what we do - it's a feeling we want to leave people with when they've engaged with us.
Creative is how we'll bring this to life, by telling powerful and meaningful Manchester United stories across every touchpoint, using platforms today and those of tomorrow, to inspire, and engage our fans.
This new creative copywriter role for the Club knows how to create brand distinction, and consistency across our voice and tone, across brand, communications and content.
The Person:
- Proven creative copywriter with experience gained in either creative agencies or inhouse creative teams
- Highlevel creative thinking and the confidence to use it
- The ability to deliver campaigns that generate results
- Experience of working with art directors, designers and video editors
- Support and influence the brand strategy development work to codify and decipher the Man Utd brand vision (to win the united way) so we have a clear articulation of how we show up and sound across all touchpoints
- Lead by example and set 'agency' behaviours i.e., serve clients, challenge where appropriate and take teams on the journey of development by creative pitches and narrative way)
- Within the broader Club, you will lead by example and work closely with other teams such as Digital Products & Experiences, Alliances and your broader group comms, communication and planning, content, fan engagement
- Ability to craft copy for campaigns, Comms, and content tov
- Collaborative, diplomatic, and able to influence senior internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns
- Mentor, develop and elevate more junior team members
