Scientific Content Writer


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scientific Content Writer to join our team of digital and creative experts.

As a Science Content Writer, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging social media content in the clinic and laboratories, supporting administrative tasks, interacting with students on courses, and capturing videos and images of students.

The successful applicant will bring a strong background in science and laboratory experience to contribute to marketing campaigns for our clients.

This is an 8-week position with the potential for extension based on the quality of content produced. The role offers a starting salary of 23k per year.


Responsibilities:


Social Media Content Creation:

Collaborate with the digital and creative team to develop compelling social media content focused on science and laboratory activities.

Utilise your scientific expertise to create informative and visually appealing content that engages and educates our target audience.


Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in science to ensure the content remains relevant and captivating.


Laboratory Experience and Scientific Contribution:

Bring your laboratory experience and scientific knowledge to the team, providing valuable insights and guidance.


Assist in the development of science-focused marketing campaigns for future clients, leveraging your expertise to create compelling narratives and visuals.

Conduct research and gather scientific data to support content creation, ensuring accuracy and scientific integrity.


Administrative Support:

Assist with administrative tasks, including organising and managing scientific data, maintaining documentation, and coordinating schedules.

Ensure efficient workflow by managing deadlines and prioritising tasks effectively.

Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall productivity.


Student Interaction and Support:

Interact with students enrolled in various courses, serving as a mentor and resource for their scientific inquiries.

Provide guidance, answer questions, and facilitate a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Foster engagement and encourage student participation in scientific discussions and activities.


Video and Image Documentation:

Capture high-quality videos and images of all students during courses to showcase their learning experiences.

Ensure proper documentation and organisation of visual content for future use in marketing materials and campaigns.

Edit and enhance videos and images as necessary to maintain a consistent and visually appealing brand image.


Requirements:


Educational Background and Experience:

Bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific discipline. Undergraduate and postgraduate research experience is highly valued.

6-12 months of laboratory experience in life sciences or a related field.

Strong understanding of laboratory protocols, equipment, and safety procedures.


Communication and Collaboration Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, students, and clients.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing ideas and insights.

Proficiency in using social media platforms to create engaging and shareable content.


Administrative and Organisational Abilities:

Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to handle administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively, ensuring timely completion of projects.

Proficiency in using productivity tools and software for data organization and documentation.


Additional Information:

The initial contract is for 8 weeks, with the potential for extension based on performance and content quality.

The position requires immediate availability to start.

The annual salary for this role is 23k.
