About the role
The Learner Services team are looking to recruit an Intensive Support Officer to join the Safeguarding team.

In this role, you will work directly with students needing Safeguarding support, making any necessary referrals into external agencies and provide in house support.

You will support and arrange any cross-college events related to safeguarding. As part of this, you must be willing to support all sites where required.


About the person


Applicants should hold a minimum level 2 safeguarding qualification and evidence their extensive experience and knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.

The successful applicant should have experience of working as a Safeguarding lead and multi-agency working. An understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education is also essential.

Specialist knowledge of the applicant will include:

  • Mental Health
  • Child looked after and Care Leaver
  • Early help process
  • Social, Emotional, Behavioural Difficulties
  • Information, advice and guidance
  • Positive engagement activities
  • Learning disabilities and difficulties
