Maintenance/handy Person - Colchester, United Kingdom - Nayland House Care Home

Description

We are looking for a full time Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for the upkeep and repair duties at our 54 bedded care home.

This will include routine and preventative maintenance to both the inside and outside of the premises.

The maintenance of the home shall be completed to a high standard and within the company health and safety guidelines.

Part of the role will include:

• Conducting and recording routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Completing the Fire logbook and associated audits
• Complete the maintenance logbook and associated audits.
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Handle basic repairs and maintenance around the home
• Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary
• Provide an "oncall" service out of working hours to cover emergencies.

Hours of work will be 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. People who live within 20 minutes drive of the home will be considered.
