Job Introduction

An opportunity exists to join an excellent pastoral team who are committed to the wellbeing of students at Northgate and ensuring that behaviour, safety and attendance targets are met.

The post is for 37 hours a week 41 weeks a year.

The hours are worked during term time (38 weeks), Staff training days (1 week) and a further 2 weeks which are worked during term time or holiday time as required.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibility of this role is to support the pastoral needs of students in designated year groups and ensure that behaviour, safety, well-being and attendance targets are met for these students.

- experience of working with children/students.
- able to operate within school systems and guidelines and able to uphold the Northgate ethos
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- able to hold a consistent line with students
- must be able to demonstrate a sustained resilience
