Description

Working closely with the People Services team and the wider organisation to ensure the Payroll & Benefits brand and service is paramount to supporting the Education Provisions and Central Office across the organisation.

With a flexible working approach, the PBM will support strong sustainability and consistent practices to the organisation and work innovatively to continually improve the Payroll & Benefits service to the organisation as the Trust continues to grow.

You must have CIPP qualification or equivalent experience and be willing to obtain a Payroll qualification as part of CPD.


Essential Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Team leadership experience
  • Experience in a customer service/service delivery environment
  • Experience of using multiple Terms & Conditions of Employment
  • Indepth knowledge of Payroll arrangements inhouse and thirdparty supplier
  • Managing Payroll processes and systems
  • Data entry management experience
  • Experience of MI Reporting
  • Experience Developing Standards
  • Experience of HMRC and Pension Accountabilities including HMRC portal, pension returns & monthly activities
  • Knowledge and experience of Benefits system administration including salary sacrifice schemes
  • Worker Compensation
  • Compensation and Wage Structure
  • Good mathematical financial skills
  • Advanced skills with Excel (report, manipulate data), Word and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills, confidently able to articulate processes and procedures pertaining to the role
  • Ability to work flexibly, with a 'cando' approach and the ability to work independently
  • Have the ability to prioritise and work accurately with attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Able to keep calm under pressure
  • Assertive, able to quickly establish integrity with a realistic and flexible approach whilst building relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • Apparent ability to investigate, analyse and problem solve to implement appropriate counter
