The Work You'll Do
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our credit control team based in Farnborough/Brighton.

The team are responsible for making sure that credit control function works smoothly, and cash flows maintained and great customer experience.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including cash collection related to your portfolio, delivery of process improvement, rectifying any issues associated with your accounts, monitoring progress, tracking KPI's, planning and coordination to meet targets set by Collection manager whilst ensuring we deliver positive customer service.


  • More specifically, you will:_
  • Maintaining high performance levels for credit management processes, ensuring continuous improvement to cash position, recommending, and implementing improvement activities wherever necessary
  • Manage your own workload to meet personal and team targets
  • Taking ownership of critical accounts, coordinating with relevant parties, and establishing effective communication between internal stakeholders and customers
  • Ensuring that systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place to support effective cash collection on all outstanding accounts
  • Taking ownership to investigate and resolve customer disputes and ensure high customer satisfaction; escalate recurring dispute/delinquency meetings with manager
  • Contribute to the development of Credit Control function and driving down aged debt
  • Demonstrates knowledge of processes and procedures for effective credit control and takes a proactive role in improving efficiency and minimising bad debt.
  • Assigned or escalated customers, proactively contact customers to ensure timely payments, investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies for customer accounts and track and submit refunds for customers with credit balances
  • Maintain quality and professionalism whilst accurately controlling ledgers
  • Problem solver who provides high level of oversight and support to team
  • Undertake any other tasks that may be necessary as specified by Credit Manager

What We Need From You

  • 3+ years in an accounts receivable, collections or similar role
  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems required; experience with SFDC and NetSuite preferred
  • Institute of Credit Management (ICM) ongoing study or qualification desired but not essential.
  • Proven experience in a fastpaced Credit control environment.
  • Strong time management, organizational and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong sense of personal integrity and accountability
  • Ability to prioritize changing demands, multitasks and creatively meets tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Strong credit control experience from a financial services background.
  • Good telephone manner, excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers
  • A high level of numeracy and literacy
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Strong organisational and analytical skill with an ability to prioritise
