    Description

    Urban Designer – Greater Bristol

We're working with a growing design practice that's looking to welcome a talented Urban Designer to its friendly and collaborative team based near Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's passionate about shaping vibrant, people-focused residential and mixed-use environments, places that bring communities to life.

    About the Role

You'll be involved in a broad mix of design and planning work, from early concept layouts and feasibility studies through to detailed masterplans, design codes, and strategic reports. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to and occasionally lead projects, ensuring work is delivered to high standards and within agreed timeframes, while maintaining excellent communication with clients.

    What We're Looking For

    • Around 3+ years' UK experience in an architecture or urban design setting, ideally with exposure to residential or mixed-use projects for developers or housebuilders.
    • A recognised qualification in Urban Design (or closely related discipline).
    • Strong design thinking, able to combine creativity with a clear understanding of practical delivery.
    • Confident communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and AutoCAD and/or SketchUp.
    • A proactive, collaborative attitude and genuine enthusiasm for producing thoughtful design work.

    Why Apply?

You'll be joining a team that values creativity, professional growth, and a supportive culture. The practice offers:

    • A competitive salary based on experience
    • Hybrid working (office and home flexibility)
    • Generous holiday allowance plus bank holidays and Christmas closure
    • Pension, cycle-to-work, eyecare and retail discount schemes
    • Regular social activities and a modern, open-plan studio environment
    • Excellent CPD support and clear opportunities for progression

This is a great chance to develop your career in a design-led, forward-thinking environment, working on projects that make a real difference to the communities they serve.
