Are you a problem solver? Are you able to multi-task? Do you enjoy working in a busy environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic individuals to join our team as an Operations Support Desk Advisor, based in our Emergency Operations Centres (999 control rooms).


A key part of the Delivery Cell, the Operations Support Desk (OSD) Team delivers a 24 hour a day help desk function that supports our Operational Managers, Ambulance Crews, Logistics Teams, Workshop Teams, Communications Technicians, Fleet Drivers and external contractors to sustain and maintain our frontline services.


During a shift an OSD Advisor must expect and be prepared to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, working under time pressures in order to maintain maximum fleet provision and emergency crew availability.

This role includes shift work covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. OSD Advisors work as part of a team and always have face to face support.

Delivery of a high-quality help desk function to support the South Western Ambulance Service community, by providing staff and contractors with advice and solutions to fleet and logístical problems in an efficient and timely manner ensuring accurate recording, reporting, monitoring, management and
resolution of issues.
