Description
Quarter is a community of hospitality businesses located in Clifton, Bristol.

We currently have luxury suites, four boutique hotels, four restaurants, numerous rental properties and a stunning, new co-working space on Berkeley Square, all in Grade 2 listed properties located in the beautiful Clifton area of Bristol.

This role would fit within our wider Maintenance team of sixteen - including some general maintenance operatives and some painter and decorators.

We have a number of exciting refurbishment projects in the next couple of months so are looking to expand our team with some junior team members to provide support to our team.

Hours:
Full time (40 hours, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday)


Salary:
£21,750 per annum

Uniform and PPE is provided


What will you be doing as Junior Maintenance Operative?


You will provide vital support to our senior team members - working with them on various refurbishment projects we have ongoing around the group.


To that end, you'll be involved with:

  • Ripping out rooms/spaces in preparation for refurbishment
  • Helping to make good walls and floors
  • Helping install stud walls
  • General painting and decorating as required (including tiling on walls and floors)
  • Helping install new furniture (constructing it as required)
  • Helping to fit kitchens and bathrooms
  • Assisting team members with daytoday maintenance (think anything from hanging a picture to replacing fuses, fixing toilet flushes to repairing sash windows).

Who is our ideal Junior Maintenance Operative?


You will have a passion for this kind of manual work and be keen to pursue a long term career in this field.

Some experience and knowledge of using basic tools and basic maintenance techniques is required - we'll aim to build on these skills and expand this knowledge You'll enjoy working in a team but also be comfortable doing basic tasks independently.


You'll have a 'can do' attitude and be willing to muck in where needed - proving that you are adaptable to the task at hand and open to learning new techniques.

You'll have a problem solving nature and remain calm when faced with the unknown


You'll be diligent and pay attention to the instructions given to ensure that we use time smartly and do not cause unnecessary delays with the jobs at hand.

You'll ideally hold a UK driving licence or be working towards this goal.

Your own vehicle is not needed, we have 2 small electric vans that we'd, ideally, like you to be able to drive (though it is not a requirement).

You must also be able to cope with the physical demands of this role - you'll regularly be working at heights and using ladders.

Ultimately, this job would suit someone who is looking to develop their skill set, is actively looking for a 'manual' and active role enjoys working in a friendly team environment and who is good at solving maintenance-related problems
