Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the efforts to establish challenging aircraft performance criteria by utilizing optimization methods and tool in order to obtain the most weight efficient, realistic and feasible structure,
- Utilises analytical methods, finite element and other analysis tools for supporting product design and verification of structural integrity,
- Develops test plans, supports test execution and analyses/reports test results to validate and verify structural integrity,
- Develops/executes certification and qualification plans to substantiate and validate airframe structures against customer and certification requirements,
- Supports internal/external design reviews, critical milestones,
- Reviews, makes recommendations and approves reworks and repairs on manufacturing defects,
- Performing structural analyses with hand calculations and aided by FEA programs,
- Publishing structural analyses report in accordance with certification requirements,
- Checking of technical drawings.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering departments
- Excellent experience in FEA tools such as MSC Patran/Nastran, Hyperworks in the last 5 years
- Deep knowledge in principles of Structural Analysis
- Being a good Excel and Word user and familiar with the Excel VBA environment
- Requires working in an engineering environment with a minimum of 5 years in the structural analysis field
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in aircraft structures.
- Experience in structural optimization.
- Proficiency in aerospace structural analysis of metals and composite structures, including bonded joints, sandwich panels.
- Ability to generate hand calculations to support design activities.
- Possessing strong interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
