Our Client

Seeking an Accessories Designer with 3 years experience within the industry and have a good awareness of trends and new concepts.

You will have the ability to work in a high paced environment to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects and have the flexibility to travel.

Key duties:

Have an excellent understanding of what fabrications will work in product development
Building relationships with factories and to be aware of their capabilities
Have a good idea of all techniques that are used and can be used
Innovate with new product concepts, print trends and fabrications
Reactive to trends
Work to strict deadlines, to ensure all designs and design specs are completed accurately
Have a clear knowledge of the design direction for the company
Confident and clear when presenting ranges to management in sign off meetings
Have a good knowledge about the process of product development from designing the product the product going into store
Be a problem solver. Find issues immediately informing management with solutions
Be able to give clear direction to other team members when delegating work
Manage your samples and keep on top of the critical path
Speccing up designs and sending them to the Far East suppliers
Sourcing new fabrics/ trims

Skills required

Minimum of 3 years experience working within an accessories design position
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office, photoshop and illustrator
Highly organised and motivated
Extensive experience of working with the far east of similar supplier bases
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines
To be motivated and develop innovative products
Ability to work in a highpaced environment to tight deadlines, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously
