Technician - Chemistry
VQ Life Sciences are recruiting for a
Chemistry Technician based in
Nottingham. If you have an interest in working in a fast paced, commercial laboratory, with other like-minded technical experts, and want to learn and develop your scientific skills, then we want to hear from you.
Rotating day shifts, 6-2/2-10 Monday to Friday.
Training will be provided in all relevant techniques for the area.
Your day-to-day work may involve;
- HPLC/GC testing
- AQL
- Using equipment such as polarimeter, viscosimeter
- High tech Laboratory equipment
- Carry out testing to defined procedures as requested by the team leader or deputy.
- Identify out of specification and out of trend results and ensure they are promptly escalated.
- Maintain a tidy and clean working environment at all times
- Highlight any safety issues and complete all health and safety actions as required.
- Maintain consistency and focus everyday particularly on quality and compliance
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Education to A Level is preferred
- IT Literacy, particularly with MS Excel
- Science based Apprenticeship or Alevel or Chemistry Degree would be advantageous
- An interest in science
- Experience of working in a diverse team
- Experience of Laboratory environments
- Working to GMP regulations
- Experience of working in highly regulated environments
