Meristem Design is a young, award winning landscape design company with a difference. All of our projects have an element of social responsibility towards the environment and community initiatives.


We're currently experiencing a huge demand for our services and therefore urgently require support in our Kent workshop and at our installion work sites around London.


You will be assisting the workshop team with the woodworking and preparation of timber planters, parklets and street furniture followed by the installation of these products at various locations around London and further afield as required.

Installation involves assembly and placement of materials, filling planters with topsoil, planting and finishing products/snagging.


This role would be ideal for someone who has previous experience working with timber, steel or in other trades where an element of practical skill is required.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Fabrication and assembly of timber planters, parklets, living walls and other items in the workshop
  • Proactive approach to health and safety. Work in line with our safety procedures and report anything unsafe
  • Assist the project managers in coordinating the installations
  • Travelling to worksites around London and elsewhere as required (company vehicles and liftsharing available)
  • Using various power tools to cut and join timber and steel
  • Assist in the delivery of materials using company vans to site
  • Quality control ensuring the integrity of our products and materials is maintained throughout the various stages of production up until and including delivery to the client
  • Care and maintenance of plant stock at workshop, including house plant propagation area
  • Be an ambassador of the brand and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times

Desirable:


  • Training in health and safety or relevent construction areas i.e CSCS, SSSTS, IOSH etc.
  • Forklift Truck
  • Horticulture qualifications and an interest in plants
  • Project management qualifications or experience

Salary:
£125.00-£130.00 per day
