An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Colorectal scrub team on a 6 months fixed term/secondment basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior theatre practitioner with demonstrable leadership skills, who is clinically proficient in Colorectal surgery.

We are the theatre team providing the Colorectal theatre service at the University of Southampton NHS Hospital Trust.

Within our speciality, we cover different types of surgery:

major open and laparoscopic cancer surgery, intestinal failure surgery, trans anal mínimal invasive surgery (TAMIS), major pelvic surgery, encompassing the intra-operative radio-therapy (IORT) and pelvic floor surgery, including the sacral nerve stimulation procedure, for faecal incontinence.

We have an operating list every weekday, and two concurrent lists every other Wednesday, Thursday and alternate Friday. We are a very busy team, working alongside 11 consultants and undertaking all aspects of Colorectal surgery.
