Job Title:
Project Manager / Team Leader

Job Location:
Wolverhampton

Hourly Pay Rate:
£27.31 PAYE / £30.50 Umbrella.

Hours Per Week:
50+ Hours

Shifts:
Must be flexible (Days and Nights)

Duration:
Minimum 6 months

Start Date:

ASAP

Rolling Stock, Aviation, Plant, Automotive, HGV, PCV, Marine and Armed Forces EX Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
Position Summary

  • Undertake technical maintenance to the required standards, and in accordance with all maintenance instructions.
  • Assess and feedback performance issues
  • Identify staff training needs
  • Managing health, safety and the environment of the depot
  • Liaising with engineering teams; materials and customers
  • Enthusiastic, keen to impress and progress
  • Help improve reliability of the fleet
  • Working with other area supervisors to ensure best practice is spread across the depot
  • Compliance with all laid down H&S legislation and depot procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • To take overall charge of vehicle examinations in line with vehicle maintenance
instructions (VMI's)

  • Knowledge of Lean (5's, KPI's, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Dual skilled mechanical skills (Mechanical and Electrical)
  • Experience of Health and Safety environments
  • Experience of Rolling stock is preferred however not essential.
  • Comprehensive leadership skills in how to motivate, control and prioritise work
  • Ability to undertake detailed investigations and report writing
  • Detailed understanding of EMU vehicles (ideal but not essential)
  • Comprehensive leadership skills in how to motivate, control and prioritise work

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 award in an Electrical discipline or Mechanical discipline.
PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION (this is standard procedure on Rail depots)
