Description

This well-established metal stockholding company, trading for over 30 years, seeks an experienced Finance Assistant due to the incumbent's forthcoming retirement.


Supporting the Finance Director with daily transactions you will be responsible for ensuring all ledgers are kept up to date and that customer accounts are settled in a timely manner.


Key Tasks

  • Sales ledger
  • Importing sales invoices, aged debtors credit control, sending statements, making calls to chase outstanding accounts, monitoring credit bureaus inline with trade insurance criteria


  • Purchase ledger

  • Entering invoices on to the company ERP software, aged creditors and statement reconciliation


  • Banking

  • Processing payments along with daily bank and credit card machine reconciliation
  • Monthly payroll processing and journals
  • Company credit card statements
  • Petty cash

Essential Skills

  • SAGE 50 Accounts
  • MS Office
  • AAT part of fully qualified
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
