Use your investigative skills to help fight Economic Crime

Both our Fraud Team and the Proactive Economic Crime Team are looking for Accredited Financial Investigators, on Full-time permanent basis, to be part of a multi-agency team responsible for supporting the East Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit


Through building on intelligence and evidence gathering, you will be conducting investigations into criminals responsible for serious and organised crime, operating predominantly at National Intelligence Model Level 2.

You will also Plan and conduct confiscation investigations and asset recovery tactics to obtain confiscation orders and support in the prosecution of those involved in money laundering.


Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the financial investigation of suspects to identify criminally obtained assets and to conduct confiscation investigations with the aim of obtaining confiscation orders and orders to compensate the victims of
  • Obtain and assist in the execution of search warrants as per PACE and the Proceeds of Crime

The must haves

  • To be or have previously been a NCA accredited Financial Investigator under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (Part 8) and undertake all CPD activities to maintain the accreditation and to hold or have previously held Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 part 2 Powers or be willing to attain and maintain accreditation.
  • Demonstrate proven experience of investigating complex crime particularly regarding offences of money laundering and civil cash seizure and have knowledge of asset confiscation.

Salary Grade
:
PO 32 (£38,007 - £40,950)
SCP 29-32 Career Progression scheme to SCP31 dependent on accreditation to part 2 Powers under Proceeds of Crime Act 2002


For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
