Description
We are currently looking for a part time Domestic Assistant (14.5 hours per week - weekend days only) at Edensor Care Centre, our warm and friendly home by the sea for adults with a range of residential, nursing and dementia-related needs.
Our priority is to ensure residents feel safe, secure and cared for, in a place where their dignity and privacy is respected at all times.
Edensor is part of the Diagrama Foundation, a charity which has supported vulnerable children, young people, adults and families around the world for almost 30 years.
We expect you to:
- Maintain all areas of the home in a clean and tidy state and carry out laundry duties to ensure clients live in a dignified manner at all times
- Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure that equipment is well maintained
- Complete and maintain documentation to ensure relevant information is accurately recorded
- Communicate and act in a professional manner to promote teamwork and ensure high standards of service delivery
- Identify and report any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client
- Ensure own and, when appropriate, other's actions reduce risks to health and safety in compliance with statutory legislation and company policy
Essential:
- Skilled communicator
Desirable:
- Previous experience within a similar environment
- Good standard of education
