Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow ST1/2 doctor in General Surgery.

This post is required from 31st January 2023 for 12 Months in the first instance


The Great Western Hospital, Swindon, is a modern 425 bed District General Hospital built in 2002 serving a growing population currently in excess of 310,000 and boasting state-of-the-art facilities.


The Department of General Surgery comprises 11 Consultants, 11 Specialty Trainees/Clinical Fellows ranging from ST3 to ST8 level and 20 more junior level trainees.

Particular specialty interests include benign Upper GI, Colorectal, and Breast Surgery including laparoscopic Colorectal surgery and Oncoplastic reconstruction.

It is a busy clinical environment with a large volume of elective and emergency surgery and scope for personal development.

A number of our current trust grade registrars are completing their FRCS examinations.
