Responsibilities of Kitchen Assistant / Cleaner:

  • Assist the kitchen staff in meal preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
  • Support the team in setting up serving stations, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a pristine and safe environment.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with dish washing and organising inventory, ensuring supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, following proper procedures for handling and storing food.
  • Cleaning classrooms, hall and toilets after you are finished in the kitchen

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Kitchen Assistant / School Cleaner in a school is preferred, but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.

Hours:
(27 hours per week)

  • Kitchen duties 11 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday
  • Cleaning 2pm onwards (12 hours a week) Monday to Friday

£13.00-£14.00 per hour
