Responsibilities of Kitchen Assistant / Cleaner:

Assist the kitchen staff in meal preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
Support the team in setting up serving stations, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a pristine and safe environment.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
Assist with dish washing and organising inventory, ensuring supplies are stocked and readily available.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, following proper procedures for handling and storing food.
Cleaning classrooms, hall and toilets after you are finished in the kitchen

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role as a Kitchen Assistant / School Cleaner in a school is preferred, but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent organisational skills to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen area.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.

Hours:
(27 hours per week)

Kitchen duties 11 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday
Cleaning 2pm onwards (12 hours a week) Monday to Friday
