ABOUT THE POST
The School of Computing and Digital Media at London Metropolitan
University is currently recruiting for a Lecturer to undertake teaching
on undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the Computer Science
creative teaching environment to support the student learning
experience.

You will contribute to teaching, assessment and associated
preferably in Programming, Applications Development, Emerging
Technologies and Data Analysis. You will be expected to prepare, deliver
and assess course work, assignments, examinations and project work and
provide tutorial guidance to students, working alongside the teaching
team. You will be responsible for a number of modules, primarily at
undergraduate level. You will assist in the development and deployment
of retention strategies which enhance student experience, retention,
progression and achievement on the relevant courses.

THE CANDIDATE

  • You will be a graduate with an MSc in a Computingrelated field.
  • You will have:
  • Experience and knowledge of teaching on mainstream Computer
Science courses.- Enrolled on a PhD programme and be near to completion.

  • Knowledge of methodologies and technologies for designing and
developing information systems in a variety of development environments.- Excellent practical skills in toolkits used in various systems

development environments, with an ability to engage with supporting
- staff.
  • An interest in engaging with employers for Enterprise initiatives.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students in innovative and engaging
ways.

For this challenging and demanding role, you must be highly motivated,
passionate about education and able to initiate and develop ideas and
opportunities in teaching, learning and research. You will be a
confident communicator able to relate to the student population and must
have excellent command of English.
