Main Purpose of the Post

We are looking to welcome someone to join our team working with a wide range of analytical techniques supporting the Faculty of Science and Engineering, the University and further afield._**The AIM Facility is a set of core laboratories of the Faculty of Science and Engineering enabling electron, X-ray and optical imaging analysis on class leading instruments.

The techniques are made available to students, staff and external university and industrial clients.

The post holder will work closely with the AIM Facility Manager and assist the rest of the team to deliver the services of the AIM Laboratories.


This permanent position is an exciting opportunity for a person with some experience in microanalysis to be a part of a busy team working using these instruments to support teaching and research, external academic and industrial clients.

It is a unique opportunity to develop skills and support a wide range of techniques:
XRD, XPS, XRM and X-Ray CT OM, SEM, TEM/STEM
