We are recruiting an IT Support Engineer for our client, a long-standing MSP based in Middlewich.

They have a laid-back and down-to-earth culture - everybody gets on really well. The owner of the business doesn't believe in micromanagement, so you're completely trusted to manage your own time.

Your role will be a mixture of office-based and out at different customer's sites.

All their customers are located within an hour's drive from the office, so you'll get the variation of heading out, but won't have to spend all day driving.


Details:


  • Salary up to £35,000 per annum D.O.E


  • Hours: Monday

  • Friday, 9AM 5PM
  • Company van OR expensed mileage (completely up to you)
  • Free parking

What will you be doing as the IT Support Engineer?

  • Diagnosing software and hardware faults
  • Resolving client's problems both remotely and onsite
  • Providing 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support
  • Auditing new customers' IT and reporting back to the customer with findings and recommendations

What do you need in order to be considered for the IT Support Engineer position?

  • Proven experience within an IT Support role, offering support to different setups
  • Have skills and knowledge around networking, firewalls and routing protocols
  • Have skills and knowledge around the Microsoft portfolio and Virtualisation Technologies
  • Extensive use of all currently supported Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of WAN & LAN networking concepts including: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
