The people we support in this service are adults with complex support needs, which may include any, or a combination of deaf blindness or other sensory impairment, physical or learning disabilities.

All individuals have communication difficulties, and many have health care support needs and/or require support with developing social skills.


The purpose of the role is to ensure a high level of cleanliness throughout the building and safe storage of all hazards to mobility and health within the building and on the mobility routes around the grounds.

You will take responsibility for all domestic requirements including cleaning of the designated areas of the centre to ensure they are maintained in a hygienic condition according to the agreed cleaning schedules and national cleaning specification for Care Homes.


What your day will look like

:


  • Regular dusting, vacuuming, washing floors and cleaning of all areas of the premises.
  • Caring for and maintaining guest belongings including clothes and equipment
  • Identifying repairs and following reporting procedures
  • Dealing speedily with any spills
  • Ensure hazardous substances e.g., bleach is safely stores according to Control of Substances hazardous to health (CO.S.H.H) standards
  • Ensuring that that the use of all cleaning materials are in line with C.O.S.H.H recommendations and manufacturers instruction.
  • Ensure entrances and exits are clutter free and remove any hazards to mobility
  • Maintain stock list of cleaning materials and restock in agreements with Management
  • Other duties appropriate to the grading of the post

  • Evidence and previous experience of working within a similar role
  • Reliability
  • An Enhanced Disclosure is essential
  • An eye for attention to detail
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively
  • Able to respond to cleaning needs as and when they arise away from daytoday duties
