Context of the Role

The Head of Strategic Project and Programme Delivery will be accountable for the delivery of the following professional services to the University:

Ensure adherence to Strategic Programme & Project Management including project definition, resource management, risk & issue management and reporting.
Ensuring excellent delivery performance through adherence to the SCO methodology.
Growing the capability and maturity of the Delivery team to ensure that delivery of key initiatives, milestones and ultimately benefits are realized.
Mitigation and unblocking of key risks and issues.
Enhanced quality of delivery through the creation of credible plans and high quality business cases.
Working with key delivery partners within the Finance, People & OD, Comms, Procurement and IT Services teams to support delivery.
Working from the vision backwards in order to ensure the right focus is placed on key delivery activities.
