Key Skills:
  • Knowledge of computerised housing management systems, Orchard, Enterprise
  • knowledge of Excel, Word.
  • Knowledge of Housing Law and Policy.
  • At least two years recent experience working with a Housing Association or Local Authority.

Responsibilities:
  • Management of Council rented homes within a patch area in South Cambridgeshire.
  • To provide the effective management of the Council's housing for its tenant customers.
  • To ensure that the patches are effectively managed and that customers are at the centre of our service.
  • Provide effective estates management, tackle rent arrears including delivery of lowlevel debt advice, posting to internal support or external agencies where appropriate.
  • Ensuring that tenancies are sustained and that tenancy agreements are complied with.
  • To ensure compliance with policy, practice, and procedures.
  • To manage the voids and lettings process on the patch effectively and to adhere to KPIs in respect of turnaround times.
  • To be responsible for tenancy and estate management of a patch of properties.
  • To carry out joint inspections of properties prior to mutual exchange and transferring/moving tenants.
  • To work with tenants to hand back properties in a good and lettable condition.
  • Work with the Rents Team to ensure effective management of rent arrears recovery.
  • To carry out regular estate inspections both informal (whilst out on patch on a daytoday basis) and formally (with our tenant inspectors) to identify areas of grounds maintenance.
