Job description:


Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced people manager. We are passionate about developing our people and helping them achieve their full potential.

Our Frontline Support Team provide administrative support across several different teams.

As a team leader you will be passionate about people management and have the ability to maintain positive and productive working relationships in a reactive environment.

You will be responsible for leading a team that provides comprehensive administrative support across our Frontline Regulation Directorate (FLR).

To achieve this, you will deliver efficient and effective processes and monitor business assurance, including compliance with internal controls and data quality to support TPR's statutory objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Lead a motivated, diverse, strong, and high functioning team, working with multiple stakeholders. Providing direction, coaching and development of our frontline support staff.
  • Operational accountability and responsibility for leading the Frontline support team to deliver key regulatory, operational and support services across the directorate including providing support to all levels of management within the Frontline Regulation Directorate (FLR).
  • Drive and assist in supporting FLR in managing a range of operational activities including, development of annual operational plan, monitoring business assurance including case costs, compliance with processes, internal controls, data quality, recruitment, budget as well as operation of the whole frontline support team.
  • Be a point of escalation for decisions on complex issues across FLR and wider TPR, drawing on broader understanding of regulation, policies and procedures, previous practical experience whilst considering wider change factors.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of the directorate strategy and corporate priorities through effective and collective working with directorates of TPR, ensuring resource is deployed to best support our corporate objectives.
  • Translate and deliver business requirements into new processes and embed into the team
  • Accountable for the service delivery and adhering to our quality assurance framework using relevant and appropriate reporting tools.
  • Represent Frontline Support in internal decisionmaking boards as required.
  • Lead and be an advocate for change initiatives and knowledge management.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in line management of others and/or in the allocation of work, setting objectives and working towards the key deliverables and maintaining the performance of a team.
  • Experience of forecasting, strategic planning, MI reporting, and resourcing a team in a reactive environment.
  • Ability to influence individuals, teams, and stakeholders to drive performance

Desirable:

  • Ability to tailor communication to differing personalities and communication styles.
  • Able to lead and empower others to deliver to a consistently high standard and adapt to change.
