This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills in providing legal support and contract negotiation.

We will provide guidance and training to enable you to convert your existing relevant experience to work within the Contracts Team on agreements support a wide range of projects.

You will assist the Contracts Officer in the preparation, review and amendment of a range of contracts including confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements and collaborative research agreements.

In doing so, you will negotiate terms with external organisations ensuring that the University's interests are represented and legal requirements are met.

There are 18 members of the Contracts Team, and it is friendly and supportive environment.

The Contracts Team is within Research, Partnerships & Innovation that supports academic researchers and postgraduate research students to fund and undertake high quality research and to use the outputs of this research for social and economic benefit.

You will have good professional development opportunities, and CPD opportunities to develop experience with issues in contracts.

You will work approximately 50% on campus and 50% remotely with flexibility over when, where and how to achieve the required outputs, in discussion with your manager.
