About the Role


Being the functional expert for the Merchandising team and actively seeking to solve issues and present solutions to the Merchandising Director.

You will be able to prioritise opportunities ensuring actions with the biggest value get completed first and drive this behaviour throughout your team.


Technical Requirements

  • Drive improved performance and customer experience through exceptional stock management.
  • Manage a small team, monitoring performance and setting KPIs to develop a high performing team.
  • Plan workloads across the team in conjunction with the Merch Timeline document
  • Help develop and implement new strategies on sell through rates to minimise markdown without compromising cash margin.
  • Ensure a great customer experience through delivery of Merchandising milestones within the Critical Path. Resolving issues through supplier/stakeholder liaison to achieve on time launches.
  • Manage all the product system set ups with total accuracy and subsequent checks of all catalogue pages and product web set ups.
  • Control and manage costs relating to supply chain including freight forwarding/ documentation.
  • Oversee all purchase order placement, timely delivery schedules, stock receipts, stock adjustments, retail replenishment.
  • Merchandising of product additions and deletions and managing seasonal capacity planning.
  • Track availability across core/continuity product styles to ensure these are never out of stock or challenge life cycle.
  • Provide visibility of Back Orders to the wider business and planned clearing dates.
  • Price list management of new/in season and Markdown
  • Responsible for ensuring all promotional and markdown activity is communicated to key stakeholders in a timely fashion and launches on time
  • Multibuy / deal management.
  • Retail replenishment/ stock adjustment and transfers.
  • Regular liaison with suppliers
  • Due diligence of supply chain.
  • Maintaining an indepth knowledge of your professional areas including changes in legislation and ongoing developments which may affect the business.

About You

Experience
You will be a self-starter, driving best practice and process enhancement for the Merchandising department.

You must be an active problem solver who can lead a team and raise the profile of Merchandising within the business.


Your stakeholders


You will be expected to work across the business, communicating with the Buying and Merchandising teams and ensuring that the Merchandising administrative team are operating effectively.

You will work closely with the Merchandising Director and Head of Planning in ensuring the overall objectives of the Merchandising department are met in a timely and efficient manner.
