Compliance Engineer
The Compliance Engineer will have the following responsibilities

  • Working with the engineering team throughout the product and safety approval process to ensure compliance and legislative requirements are met.
  • Keeping up to date with legislation changes and the impact any changes could have on our products
  • Coordinate compliance related activities (MD, LVD, EMC) for the transfer of new products into production.
  • Compile technical file information and produce UKCA & CE Declaration of Conformity for release.
  • Liaise with purchasers to maintain a database of compliance information for components.
  • Ensure documentation is regularly updated following changes to products.
  • To support Quality Assurance Manager with the maintenance of any accreditations.
  • Maintain the companies audit programme to meet the requirements of external accreditations.
  • Support development of a team of auditors across the entity.
  • Carry out audits and report findings including chasing up outstanding actions.
  • Ensure internal SOP's and checklists relating compliance are followed.

Compliance Engineer
The Compliance Engineer will require the following experience


Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience:


  • Electronics background/experience working within the electronics industry
  • Experience implementing and maintaining ISO standards (9001/ 14001)
  • Experience working in a compliance/regulatory type job role

Desirable:


  • Confident implementing or maintaining an audit system and auditing to a standards framework
  • Awareness of the product approval process
  • Ability to interpret international standards
  • Experience of working to the requirements of Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, EMC Directive
