A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager to join a prestigious college in Cambridge as Head of Operations on a full-time, permanent basis.


Main duties will include:


  • Overseeing Porters Lodge, Accommodation and Housekeeping functions
  • Supporting with the planning of staffing resources
  • Development, training and management of three direct reports
  • Responsibility of students wellbeing
  • Handling any sensitive or disciplinary issues with students
  • Providing pastoral care to students
  • Supporting the Bursar with annual income forecasting
  • Control departmental expenditure
  • Overall management of college security
  • Demonstrable experience in an operational management capacity
  • Experience working within educational or hospitality establishments
  • Financial management experience
  • Facilities management experience desirable
  • Effective communicator
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal hours when required
  • Excellent people management skills
