Job Description:

We're recruiting the newly created role of
Commercial Assurance Officer, a crucial member of the Commercial Procurement team.

In this role, you'll report to the Commercial Assurance Manager, playing an instrumental part of the function.

You'll be providing support and administration in the planning and monitoring of commercial procurement activities, ensuring compliance to legal and policy obligations while driving successful commercial outcomes within defined standards and operating frameworks.


You'll be the point person for internal stakeholders via the shared inbox, seeking and providing appropriate guidance and advice, as well as supporting the processing and oversight of the business case approval process.


What you'll do:

  • Meeting Coordination: You'll be our goto person for scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and crafting detailed meeting minutes for crucial approval and assurance meetings. Your organizational skills will keep us on track.
  • Business Case Coordination: You'll support and oversee our internal business case review process, ensuring that outcomes are disseminated effectively. You'll also be the bridge between our internal teams and external approval bodies.
  • Management Information Coordination: You'll assist in managing and developing our Commercial Procurement products, processes, and data throughout the commercial lifecycle. Keeping information up to date will be your forte.
  • Project Management Support: You'll coordinate and manage various project management documents and logs, such as RAID, Procurement Pipeline, Approvals Conditions, and Contract Register. Your attention to detail will shine through.
  • Master of Organisation: Managing shared mailboxes, our Commercial Procurement SharePoint site, central document store, and team calendar events will be second nature to you.
  • Legal Compliance: You'll support our team in ensuring that our commercial procurement activities comply with legislation. This includes publishing contract notices and meeting required timelines.
  • Change Catalyst: You'll help roll out and disseminate our Commercial Strategy & Standards Framework (CSSF). This includes developing documentation and facilitating briefings and training as part of our Commercial Procurement Capability Programme (CP2).
  • Best Practice Advocate: Promoting Commercial Procurement best practices across the organization will be at the heart of your role. You'll actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to enhance our commercial capabilities.
  • Service Guardian: You'll support the development and delivery of services within our crossfunctional Empowering Our People Tribe. We're counting on you to uphold the highest internal service standards within our agreed delivery plan.
  • Relationship Builder: You'll be instrumental in building, maintaining, and developing internal stakeholder relationships across our organization. You'll also nurture connections with external stakeholders in central government bodies and departments as part of our commercial assurance processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred but vocational experience accepted; achieved or willing to work towards CIPS Level 4 or higher.
