    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and Monitor the Practice Appointment System
    • Provide Effective and Efficient Reception Service
    • Answer Phone Calls and Deal with Inquiries
    • Care Navigation and Signposting
    • Deal with General Enquiries and Appointments
    • Ensure Urgent Consultations are Handled Logically
    • Explain Practice Arrangements and Procedures
    • Enter Requests for Home Visits
    • Chaperone Patients as Needed
    • Action Medication Queries and Repeat Prescriptions
    • Liaise with Patients and Pharmacies
    • Ensure Timely Actioning of Tasks
    • Understand and Utilize SystmOne
    • Advise Patients of Charges for Private Services
    • Input Data into Patient Records
    • Maintain a Clean and Tidy Working Area
    • Monitor and Maintain the Reception Area
    • Support Clinical Staff with General Tasks
    • Ensure Correspondence and Reports are Scanned and Filed Promptly
    • Register New Patients onto the Computer System
    • Provide General Support to Doctors and Management Team
    • Input Patient Data with Correct Read/SNOMED Codes
    • Maintain the Computer Clinic System Accurately and Securely
    • Assist with Gathering Statistics and Information
    • Cover for Reception/Secretarial Team Members
    • Maintain Adequate Supplies of Office Stationery

    Premises

    • Open Up the Reception/Admin Areas at the Start of the Day
    • Secure the Reception Area at the End of the Day
    • Lock Away Confidential Information and Prescriptions
    • Undertake Additional Duties as Requested
