Job Summary
You will be required to carry out many varied manufacturing activities on multiple products with different specifications whilst maintaining the highest quality and attention to detail.
The role requires the use of manual and automated equipment with independent and operator quality control checks throughout the process, it will also require using a variety of gauges and measuring equipment in line with our quality management systems and good working practices.
Good housekeeping is essential. It is important to maintain an organised work area e.g. 5s (Sifting, Sorting, Sweeping, Spick & Span and Sustain) ensuring the safe disposal of waste in line with environmental systems and regulatory requirements (ISO
You will be required to prepare, control, contribute to and complete all manufacturing operations, and follow manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) carefully, whilst adhering to safe working policies & procedures.
You will be expected to contribute to the develop and support for improvement in the manufacturing operation using continuous improvement methods, process visualisation and problem-solving tools and techniques.
Responsibility for carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing operations to ensure quality is built in and that any defects or concerns are highlighted and dealt with in line with relevant quality standards.
Production Operative-Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrable experience in manufacturing operations is essential. _(Specific job training will be given.)_
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
IT and numerical skills, with basic computer literacy
Math's Level 2 (GCSE at Grade 4 or above)
Good practical and technical skills.
Good communication skills, able to share information clearly.
Hours
Monday-Friday - 8am - 4.30pm
Working outside of these hours, including shift work, will be contractually required from time to time.
Wages:
Initially £10.42 for ages 23 and above (Inline with the National Living Wage) rising to £11.65, with further increases as role expands.
