RESG/GTS in the UK is responsible for delivering, supporting, and maintaining IT infrastructure components (Servers, Storage, Databases, Network Devices, and Desktops etc.) to meet the needs and ambitions of Société Générale.


Summary of the key purposes of the role


The GTS Operations Officer is an Analyst level role responsible in providing the effective operational running for GTS UK by ensuring that its working practices, working environment, staff training plans and evolution of headcount are documented.

The rolealso includes some GTS and GBSU communication whilst also supporting the Finance and Project Management team and the GTS UK COO and CTO.

Key Purposes

  • Ensure that its staff receives external, internal and completes mandatory training
  • That its headcount follows the landing plan and be the point of contact for GTS Paris for documentation inclusion
  • Being the first point of contact for external departments with regards to the working environment.
  • Provides oversight in GTS key critical Outsourced Vendors and contracts and providing this information in the COO Financial pack
  • Provides administration support to the GTS Exco where required
  • Provides reporting on overtime
  • Provides support to the Project Management team
  • Adheres to SG's culture and conduct values
  • Is part of a community network within SG or GTS
  • Provide efficiencies and changes to current procedures
  • Introduce new processes or procedures to make the running of the department more efficient
  • Demonstrate behaviors of our group leadership model

Summary of responsibilities

  • Training
  • Follow up of mandatory E-Learning for all GTS staff
  • Documenting all training for GTS staff with liaison with the Exco and HR
  • Oversight of Pluralsight administration and licensing
  • Finance & Headcount
  • Contributing towards the headcount file and landing plan with inclusion in the COO pack
  • Liaising with GTS Paris where necessary to ensure that landing plan files are aligned and up to date for our financial reporting
  • Ensuring that the contracts & maintenance file is kept up to date for UK and CI
  • KH
  • Monitoring and tracking overtime
  • Project Management Administration
  • Supporting our PMO department by ensuring that RAG and Project reporting is up to date
  • Liaising with our Paris counterparts where necessary to ensure accurate project status
  • Ensuring that staff have time tracked in Pyramid and providing reporting where necessary
  • Ensuring that Pyramid and the landing plan are aligned
  • Vendor support
  • Ensuring that key supplier meetings are attended and that any escalations are raised with GTS management. Ensuring that SLA reporting is kept in our repository
  • Ensuring that supplier templates are completed as part of vendor SLA meetings for GTS and stored in our depository
GTS department - Administration

  • Monitoring and checking that no conduct or data breaches have occurred within a defined period
  • Ensuring that the GTS organisation chart is up to date
  • Managing joiners and leavers
  • Creating GTS Exco templates
